At my first photo shooting, I tried to take a different perspective.

Change of scenery. It's as if someone has thrown some yellow glitter over the hills around #zurich. Nature woke up also here to a splendid saturation of colours. #zuhauseinderschweiz

Weekends are for outdoors. Hiking is always a great choice to enjoy some awesome views, smells, and sounds. Lombardy sets an amazing scenery for that. Make sure to explore also all those spots that are not Como, Bormio, and Bellagio.

On a hike last weekend, I discovered an unexpected set of switchbacks. I didn't need to wait long till some Italian locals rode up the climb. Immediately I wanted to join them. Finally it's Easter: are you going to do a bunny-and-egg ride, too?

At the lakes are my most favourite spots. Any time of the year. This is a small place to sit on the top of Monte Barro, which sits just next to Lecco and offers a wonderful 360° view over parts of Lago di Como, the prealps of the Lario, and the hills of Brianza. Quite a cool hike, but in some bits, you will need your hands. #homeabroad

Consonno was an agricultural village for centuries and turned into a resort town in the 1960s. Two landslides brought a booming project to its end and when the last inhabitants left in 2007, Consonno turned into a real #ghosttown. It's still a fascinating place to visit.

Where do you have lunch today? I took mine in the sun on the Brocken, the highest mountain in Northern Germany. Last time that I've been here is ten years ago. Sadly, many of the pine trees have died, and while it's still a great ride, now it's also a reminder as to how much we need to take care of our environment.

It's Saturday and the weather forecast promises a warm day. I hope you have your cycling kit ready and use your day off for a great ride. Don't forget the hills and mountains. Maximise your return on effort with the best panorama you can find.

Every day that I ride my bike to work, it's 18km one way. Now that the days are longer, I take longer routes on the way back to combine my #commuting with my training. Changes to my routine also keep me motivated and freshen up the mind than if I always took the same path. Like this, cycling is freedom, and part of that feeling I also may ascribe to being back in my beloved summer jerseys.
